The schedule has been released for Hoopla, the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association provincial basketball championships. The tournament is being played in Regina. The senior girls and boys teams from Weyburn Comprehensive School both qualified for the tournament, after picking up wins in their regional playdowns this past weekend.

For the boys, who enter the tournament ranked number one in the province, they will open the tournament Friday afternoon against Bedford Road from Saskatoon. The tip off, at O’Neill High School in Regina, will be at 4:15 p.m. A win will put them in the finals at Luther College Saturday at 7:00 p.m. while a loss will see them play for the bronze at 3:00 p.m.

The girls will be on the court at O’Neill just ahead of the boys. They begin play at 2:30 p.m. against Melfort. The girls are ranked fourth in Saskatchewan. They will be looking for a berth in the gold medal game Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Luther College. The bronze medal game will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
