With the school year now in full swing, athletic programs from the Weyburn Comprehensive School are also getting into gear. There will be a number of events for the Eagles this weekend, with three volleyball teams traveling, and a home football game.

The senior girl's team, which finished fourth in the province last year, will be looking to have another strong year. They are in Regina for a tournament which begins Friday.

The senior boy's team is off to a tournament in Oxbow this weekend. The Eagles finished fourth last season in provincials.

The junior girl's volleyball team will be playing their first tournament of the season as well. They head to Carlyle for the event. It kicks off on Friday as well.

The football program will get their first taste of game action Saturday afternoon. They host the Swift Current Colts at Darold Kot Field. The game begins at 1:00 p.m.
