The Midget AAA Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings are still looking for their first win of the regular season, as they fell 5-1 to the Melville Prairie Fire last night. The Gold Wings are now 0-11 on the season.

The Prairie Fire were first on the board, scoring just 42 seconds into the game, but the Wings tied it up quickly. Kaitlyn Harrison scored her third of the campaign before the game was two minutes old to tie things up. From there, the Prairie Fire took over, scoring three power play goals as they built up the five one lead.

The Gold Wings went 0-for-10 with the power play in the game, as Melville took four consecutive penalties for body checking late in the game, but Weyburn was unable to capitalize.

The next league game for the Gold Wings will be next Wednesday when they host the Prairie Fire at Crescent Point Place.
