Candace Chisholm and her rink from Carlyle split their games at the Viterra Provincial Scotties in Melfort on Thursday. As a result, they are currently 3-3 at the tournament, and in 5th place.

The Chisholm rink opened the day against the Amber Holland rink in the afternoon. Chisholm jumped out to a lead in the first end, stealing one. After Holland scored one with a hammer in the third, Chisholm regained the lead in the 4th with two. She then proceeded to steal two in the 5th and 6th ends, before stealing a single in the 7th. After the end, the two teams shook hands, and Chisholm picked up the 8-1 victory.

In the evening draw, Team Chisholm took on the Eberle rink from Regina. The two went back and forth throughout the game, with Chisholm tying the game up at five in the ninth end. Eberle took advantage of the hammer, though, and scored a single in the 10th end, giving her the victory.

Chisholm is back in action Friday afternoon. The day starts with the Martin rink out of Saskatoon, before playing the Lawton rink this evening. Chisholm beat Lawton in the qualifiers to make it to the tournament back in early December.
