The Toronto Blue Jays captured only their fourth win of the season as they beat the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim last night.

It took them 13 innings of back and forth baseball to overcome the Angels, 8 - 7.

The Angels were leading 4 - 3 in the 8th inning when Justin Smoak hit a two-run double to right field to score a pair of walks. However the Blue Jays' lead was short-lived, as in the bottom of the 8th, Jefry Marte tied the game with an RBI double.

The game remained tied until the 13th inning, when Jose Bautista blasted a 3-run homer, his first home run of the season.

Mat Latos was the starter for the Blue Jays, having been brought in from the team's triple-A club in Buffalo. He went five innings, giving up four runs on six hits. The Blue Jays have dipped into the Buffalo ranks for Saturday's starter, as well. It will be the first major league start for Casey Lawrence. He has had a couple of relief appearances earlier in the season.

Blue Jays' starters J.A. Happ and Aaron Sanchez remain on the disabled list.

Tonight's game will be broadcast on Saskatchewan's home of Blue Jays baseball, AM 1190. The first pitch will be at 7:07 CST.
