The Bantam AA Crescent Point Energy Wings threw everything they had at Melville Bantam Millionaires goalie Dominic Orr Wednesday night, but they were unable to score the goals when needed, falling 5-3.

The Millionaires jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before the Wings found the scoreboard in the second period. Cooper Chisholm, assisted by Sawyer Kopec and Kale Williamson, scored with just over 13 minutes remaining in the middle frame. It would be his fifth of the season, and first of two on the night.

Before the middle period ended, though, Melville regained their three-goal lead.

Halfway through the third, Weyburn started to rally back. Rylan Erb’s 18th of the campaign made it a 4-2 game. Chisholm assisted on the goal. Then, with under four minutes remaining, Chisholm, assisted by Walker Watson, scored a power-play goal, making it 4-3.

Melville would spoil the party, though, when they scored a power-play goal with a little over a minute remaining.

The Bantam Wings are now 3-15-1-1 on the season. The will be back in action Saturday when they take on Yorkton.
