It was a busy weekend for Atom hockey this weekend, despite a number of games being postponed due to the weather.

Atom AA

It was a tough weekend for the Atom AA Panther Drilling Wings, as they played three road games against a tough Swift Current Atom Broncos team.

The first game Friday night saw the Broncos pick up a 6-1 victory over the Wings. The two teams met again Saturday, and again Swift Current came out on top, winning 11-3. The third game Sunday was a 13-6 win for the host team.

The Atom AA Wings will be back in action on the weekend when they host Swift Current for a pair of games.

Atom Girls

It was a match-up between Weyburn teams at Tom Zandee Sports Arena on the weekend. The AtoMc Gold was taking on the DQ Blizzards. The Blizzards, who are in second place in the league, came away with the win, beating Gold 5-1.

AtoMc Gold will be back in action on the weekend when they host the Southwest Cyclones for a pair of games Saturday. The DQ Blizzards are off to Rosetown for two games on Saturday against the Western Prairie Redwings.

AtoMc Red was also in action, travelling to take on the Southwest Cyclones this weekend, but scores aren’t currently available from the two games.
