Weyburn was well-represented by athletes in Moose Jaw at the Special Olympics Provincials on the weekend. A total of five athletes were competing in two disciplines, and they returned home with a number of medals.

In the women’s singles bowling, Stephanie Guest picked up a gold medal, while Doug Frijouf picked up bronze in the men’s singles bowling competition.

In the pool, Antonius Quist put in a fantastic performance. He won gold in the 50m and 100m backstroke. To go with those he won silver in the 4x25m relay, and bronze in the 50m and 100m freestyle.
