Volleyball teams from across the province will be in Weyburn this weekend for the second 17 & Under Sask Cup of the year. The tournament is being hosted by the Weyburn Volleyball Club, and the games will be played in the Eagles Gym at the Comp, and in the Cugnet Centre. There will be 15 teams in total playing in the tournament, coming from Regina, Saskatoon, Waldheim, Lanigan, Oxbow, Prince Albert, Lloydminster and more.

The Weyburn team, called the Machine, had a rough start to the Sask Cup schedule in early February, but will be looking to bounce back in this tournament, being played in their home court. They open the tournament Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m., against the Saskatoon HVC Howlers, and their second round robin game is against the Southeast Vipers at 9:00 am.m Both matches will be played in the Eagles gym.

After the opening games, the teams are then repooled, and the top two teams in each of the Repools advanced to the Tier 1 playoffs, while the third and fourth place teams move on to the Tier 2 playoffs.

The tournament runs through until Sunday afternoon.
