A while back, Weyburn Arts Council had a call out for submissions for a show titled Winter in Saskatchewan. The show was supposed to be on display at Signal Hill Arts Centre Second Floor Gallery. The weekend before it was set to open, SHAC flooded, putting the show on hold temporarily. Thankfully a lot of the arts programs were able to be moved to other city facilities and a new gallery space was formed: The City Hall Gallery! This space is on the second floor at City Hall, just down the hall from Curator Regan Lanning's new office.
The show features so many talented artists from southeast Saskatchewan and one artist from Naicam.
Last night there was a reception held for the Winter in Saskatchewan show. Artists and community members attended the show and feedback on the new space seemed to be very positive!
