13-year-old Cooper Knox of Weyburn was chosen by the U13 Sask Baseball team to participate in the nationals in Windsor later this month.

“I'm so excited,” said Knox. “It’s like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that somebody gets to do this, so it'll be fun.”

Knox was one of the 15 in the province selected, and was also picked by the Estevan U13 team to participate in the Canadian Western Tournament Championship.

“Hopefully I play my best and just show Saskatchewan what I'm made of.”

Leading up to the championship, which takes place from August 25 to 28, Knox is getting his practice in with the U15 team.
