Big success for the Weyburn Gymnastics Club as several members qualified for the 2023 Provincials. The competition was held in Saskatoon last month with several bringing home medals including breaking personal bests.

Fourteen athletes qualified for this year’s provincial competitions. One qualified for Level Gold, five qualified for Level 3, four qualified for Level 4, and one qualified for Level 7. Taryn Barry, Coach for the club explains the qualifications.

“They have to attend a minimum of three competitions and then they have to make an average score depending on their level to qualify.”

Bringing home, the hardware in Level 3 was Sadie Hodgkins who earned bronze on vault bars and All Around and in Level 3 Isabelle Cugnet brought home the bronze on beam.
