The WCS Fowl Supper will be held on Tuesday, November 29th, at 5:00 p.m. at the WCS Cugnet Centre.

"We have 550 pounds of turkey."

That's Leah Beam, Cosmetology Teacher for grades ten to twelve at WCS, explaining how much turkey there will be at this year's Fowl Supper.

She gives more details on what the evening entails.

"The Fowl Supper is a fundraiser for extra-curricular and SRC programs. It supports lots of fees for the sports teams as well as anything the SRC puts on if they get a guest speaker in or anything for our school that they do."

The night wouldn't be complete without the band and choir entertaining everyone for the evening.

"We have many different clubs and teams bringing food for the Fowl Supper and McKenna Hall has cooked all of our turkeys and we have our band and choir program performing that night from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. We hope that it will be a wonderful night, we hope to have a good turnout. We haven't done this for a couple of years just due to COVID and the protocols. We are happy to see a lot of the community out listening to our wonderful programs and supporting our school."

Leah Beam explains how many people have attended the Fowl Supper in the past and the numbers she is hoping for this year.

"We had about 500 to 600 people at both nights before so hoping to see that many or more next week. In previous years I have been involved, I guess two years before COVID hit, and we had a short break well before that, as we had renovations, so we only got two years and then had another break."

Leah explained that, "Raffle tickets are sold at the door and entry is five and under are free, $10 for students and $20 for adults. The raffle tickets are 1 for $5 and 3 for $10. We will start selling tickets around quarter to five and your number will be called and you can get in line for a good meal. We have gift card baskets and Christmas baskets as well."

Don't miss out on a great opportunity to support the extra-curricular and SRC programs at WCS!
