The Weyburn Comprehensive School Senior 'A' girls hosted a home tournament over the weekend with 12 teams attending. 

The Eagles were in Pool A and finished first after pool play, defeating Sheldon Williams of Regina, Moose Jaw Vanier, Carnduff, Yorkton Regional, and LeBoldus of Regina. 

Swift Current dominated Pool B with wins over WCS Sr. B, O’Neill of Regina, Yorkton Sacred Heart, Estevan, and Moose Jaw Central. The top four teams advanced to the playoff rounds with the third-place teams from each pool playing each other as well as the fourth-place teams. 

Estevan finished 2nd in Pool B to cross over to play the Eagles in the semi-final. The Eagles lost the first set 25-17, then they rebounded to win the second set 25-16, and fell to the Elecs 12 to 15 in the third set moving them to the third place game versus LeBoldus. 

In the third-place match-up, LeBoldus took an early lead in the first set 25-20, the Eagles persevered in the second set to win 25-22.  LeBoldus came out on top in the third set 15- 0. 

Swift Current won the rournament beating Estevan in two straight sets 25-16, and 25-12. 

The Eagles will be playing in the Reconciliation in Sport Tournament at Campbell Collegiate on September 29th and 30th.
