The Saskatchewan Health Authority has just announced a temporary disruption to emergency services at the Weyburn General Hospital. This is due to a nursing shortage.

No emergency services will be available on Friday, August 5th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 6th. The original closure had also included Saturday night, but a nurse has decided to graciously come in off of vacation to fill in and work the shift.

Emergency services will, however, be available at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Estevan, the Arcola Health Centre, and the Redvers Health Centre.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority reminds people to call 911 for emergencies or to call the Healthline toll-free 24hrs/day at 811 if you have any questions about your health.
