The Weyburn Salvation Army will be sending out bell ringing kettle volunteers beginning on Thursday, December 1st, to two locations in Weyburn.

However, some more volunteers are still needed.

Community Ministries Worker Shannon Fodchuk said they're halfway there.

"We do definitely need more volunteers, so if anybody is wanting to volunteer, definitely give us a call, because we do have about 50 percent open still this year. We're just doing the Wholesale Club and Walmart," she noted.

It's not about the bells, for anyone who may have let that stop them from doing the volunteer job.

"You don't just go down there and ring a bell," added Fodchuk. "If you don't want to ring a bell, you don't have to ring a bell, just a smiling face and thanking everybody for their donations."
