A severe thunderstorm watch is currently in effect for Weyburn and throughout southeast Saskatchewan. 

Environment Canada issued the watch, stating conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain.

An unstable airmass in southern Saskatchewan is triggering scattered thunderstorms this afternoon, some of which may be severe. The thunderstorms will continue into the evening hours, with the severity of the storms diminishing by late evening.
