With higher grain prices, grain theft is becoming more common on the prairies, and farmers are turning to a product called Cropgard to protect their stored grain.

Ron Kroeker from Country Graphics of Manitoba, who produces and markets Cropgard, says the product is a set of coded flakes that are put in the grain bin.

Cropgard is a set of flakes with unique code numbers that are put in the grain bin to identify it.

Kroeker says the flakes won't interfere with delivery, as they are vacuumed up by dust collectors at the grain terminal.
