In the latest Pool Return Outlook from the Canadian Wheat Board, values for milling wheat dropped by as much as 73 cents a bushel, while feed barley saw drops up to 50 cents.

CWB Market Analyst David Boyes says the falling prices can be tied to the current financial crisis in the United States, which has caused fear among investors. He hopes the uncertainty won't last too long. Boyes is confident it will still be a year of higher-than-average wheat and durum prices for Western Canadian farmers.
