The City of Weyburn has had to close the Weyburn Leisure Centre outdoor swimming pool again due to heavy rains earlier this week.
According to a recent press release, the pool will remain closed until further notice.
Flooding during the heavy rainfalls on June 20th and 21st have caused critical damages to mechanical equipment in the underground infrastructure at the WLC.
The City will not be able to determine a re-opening date, as the situation continues to be assessed. The City of Weyburn is working hard to source solutions to ensure the outdoor swimming season is not lost, though.
The City thanks the public for their patience at this time.
