While many in Weyburn had to start their day with a shovel in hand after the overnight snowfall more is expected in the area throughout the day today. 

Environment and Climate Change Canada extended the snowfall warning issued yesterday until this evening with upwards of 15 centimetres more expected in some areas. The possibility of snow will continue overnight and into tomorrow morning.  

A corridor that extends from Lloydminster to the southeast is expected to bring up to 15 centimetres of snow by the evening, with the system moving to the northeast and weakening throughout the day. A second line of snowfall that is being described as more intense is expected to move just to the north of Highway 13, dumping up to 10 centimetres this morning. 

The Ministry of Highways advised this morning travel was not recommended on a number of highways this morning. You can find an updated list of those highways here.
