It looks like a 13 year playoff drought will continue for the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Jays have not reached the post season since winning the World Series since 1993, now sit 11 games back of New York in the American League Wildcard after a 4-1 loss to the Yanks last night.

The Yanks scored 4 runs on just 4 hits as Jays starting pitcher Dustin Mcowan took the loss on the mound, dropping his record to 10-9 on the season.

Toronto looks to avoid the 3 game series sweep this afternoon.

The Jays send 8-7 A.J. Burnett to the mound.

You can catch the game on your voice of the Blue Jays AM 1190 at 5:00.

Meanwhile the Jays will be without 3rd baseman Troy Glaus for the rest of the season, Glaus will undergo season ending surgery on his injured left foot.
