The Weyburn Agricultural Society brings back the High School Rodeo to the exhibition grounds. Doors open at 8 am Saturday morning and will run until Sunday evening, cost of admission is $5. 

“We’ll start with the Junior High Rodeo in the morning, they have multiple events from tie-down roping, pole bending, barrel racing, junior bull riding, team roping, goat-tying, there’s lots of events,” explained Tyler Kmita with the Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Association.  

After lunch the high school students kick off the afternoon competing in multiple events. 

“We start with the high school division in the afternoon, and it’s got bare-back riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing, pole bending, and goat-tying.” 

Tyler Kmita also shared the kids have been practicing all winter for the event.
