Domestic disputes take the lead in the report for last week from the Weyburn Police Service. 81 calls for service during the period of June 13th through June 19th only resulted in 20 charges, although 15 of those were under the Criminal Code of Canada. Five were for traffic violations.

Last Tuesday, police were called to a domestic assault. The suspect was found to be intoxicated, was arrested and charged not only with assault but also with impaired operation of a vehicle and complying with a release order. Police were able to help others resolve the issues without further problems.

Police responded to a vehicle collision at the intersection of 18th St and 1st Avenue north, which caused damage to both vehicles, but no injuries were reported.

There was also a complaint of vandalism and graffiti in the City, which police are currently investigating.
