The City of Weyburn hosted an open house at their new Public Works facility last week.

The event featured the city’s Public Works, Fire Department, and Police Service.

“I think it went over very well,” said Corporal Riley Doud with the Weyburn Police Service. “It was a good opportunity for the public to come out and meet those members of our services. They were also treated to a barbecue, so I think it was a great turnout and I think it was a good event.”

The Public Work’s fleet, many Fire Department trucks, and some of the Police Department fleet were on display.

Guests were able to meet the three canines: Victim Services dog Beaumont, Weyburn Police Service dog Oakley, and the Jessi Fire Department dog.
