The smile on Saskatchewan's Agricultural Minister's face is evident after a court ruled in favor of the Canadian Wheat Board in it's bid to keep it's Single Desk Monopoly in Barley Marketing.

Sask Ag Minister Mark Wartman is pleased to hear a federal court has ruled in favour of the CWB and the case that pitted the board against the federal government saying the majority of farmers do want choice but in a strong Canadian Wheat Board, not an open market.

The federal government was trying to move to an open market through regulatory changes to the CWB, but the judge in the case ruled, any change must be made through legislation.
