While no animals were in attendance, the Weyburn Therapeutic Animal Park's board of directors held their Annual General Meeting last week, in the Community Room at the Weyburn Credit Union.

"Our AGM is about getting us ready for the upcoming year," shared vice president Diana Tosczak. "We do a short AGM which is open to the public, where we elect our new board, and then from there we do a planning meeting with the board."

Their 2022 Board of directors also includes president Jody Larson, secretary treasurer Sarah Richard, and their volunteer coordinator is Rechee Watson. Jessica Fenwick also joined as a member at large.

"The board of directors is the big take away from the AGM, and also we were very happy to report that with some donations from the community, our play structure actually came in under budget last year, so that was pretty exciting news, just from donated time and some gravel and things like that, we were able to come in under our budget. So that was fantastic.

Tosczak added they are always looking for different kinds of volunteers, and they've got some fun and beautiful plans for the park in the 2022 season, which begins sometime in late May.
