The 13U AAA Beavers played their home opener at Jubilee Park Sunday afternoon, with the Yorkton Cardinals in town. The Cardinals would spoil the day for the Beavers, though, scoring twelve runs in the final three innings of the game to win 17-14. 

Ayden Warren led the way at the plate for the Beavers with three RBIs, with Cooper Knox and Keran Seitz adding two themselves. Asher Loustel, Carver Ferguson and Kyro Klapak drove in one run each. Knox also led the bats with three doubles on the day. 

On the basepaths, the Beavers were able to combine for 12 stolen bases. Carver Ferguson and Bennett Weger stole two bases each, with Loustel, Klapak, Knox, Reid Kosior, Levi Lillejord, Seitz, Keaton Walter and Warren also stealing a bag each.  

On the mound, Loustel got things going, pitching two innings, striking out two and allowing two earned runs. Then, Weger tossed two innings, striking out one and allowing three earned runs. Chase Patterson would go for 2/3 of an inning, striking out two and allowing six earned runs. Warren pitched for 1 2/3 innings, striking out two and allowing two earned runs. Seitz finished the day off on the mound, pitching for 2/3 of an innings, allowing two earned runs.  

The 13U AAA Beavers are back in action Wednesday when they take on the Regina Expos.
