Rylan Chessall and Taylor Cameron were out with the Summer Fun Crew this previous weekend at Weyburn's Multi-Cultural Day event.

The multi-cultural event celebrating Canada's 150th birthday ended up bringing out a big crowd at Riverside park this weekend. The Summer Fun crew was there all day, enjoying performances and participating in some of the events that were offered.

We started with the walk-a-thon through riverside park, where we learned about a selection of different countries while stopping at booths set up through the park. When we arrived back the performances were starting, and all the vendors were set up. It was great to see all the different performers take part in the event but it was also fantastic to see the crowd it pulled. Below is a picture we got the oppurtunity to take of all the women that were involved in the ethnic fashion show that took place on the main stage!

We also had an opportunity to walk around and talk to all the vendors at the event. There were many home-made items and some great ethnic foods we got the opportunity to experience. Apart from this, we also learned a lot walking around some booths that were giving out information about certain organizations. If you want to see which organizations made it down to the event, you can check them out in the gallery that will be posted at the bottom of the page.

Along side all of the great events, there was a Family Fun Tent set up for families and their children to attend. They ran from 11:00 until the end of the day, and we got to see families create their own dream catchers and catch some more performances!
