Your Summer Fun Crew paid a visit to the Weyburn Public Library today.  Whether your looking for a good book, taking part in one of the summer kids' programs, or in need of a quiet place to read or study, our library is for you!   The Library is located at 45 Bison Avenue, and is open Monday to Thursday from 9:30am to 8:30pm and Friday and Saturday from 9:30am to 6:00pm.  It is not open on Sundays during the summer months, but throughout the rest of the year it is open from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Our library has hundreds of books on both floors.  There is a vast selection of books for adults, both fiction and nonfiction.  There are many options for younger readers as well.

Speaking of our younger readers, the library offers a kids' summer reading club.  They offer prizes or accomplishments like a gift certificate for every 10 books read, as well as a big prize for the kid who has read the most books all summer in each age group.  There are activites on Fridays for kids ages 3 to 5 and on Tuesdays and Thursdays for kids ages 6 to 8.

But that's not all, there are even MORE programs offered at the library for kids!  They have programs for young children, children and their famillies, and for teens, too.  You can pick up packages for all the programs and the summer reading club at the library.

The Allie Griffin Art Gallery is located in the lower level of the Weyburn Public Library.  The gallery is run by the Weyburn Arts Council.  It features monthly exhibitions by local, regional, and provincial artists.

Lastly, our library is just a great place to relax and enjoy a book with your family and friends.
