Weyburn's own zoo is open and going strong this summer. The Therapeutic Animal Park is located at Tatagwa, and anybody can come visit some new furrie friends.

Weyburn City Councillor Jeff Richards is an advocate for the park. In the Jeff vs. Jeff City Council challenge, partnering with Tourism Weyburn encourages all people to be tourists in the community. Richards says "The Animal Park is so much more than just a petting zoo. It is a testament to community, and a community's commitment to wellness. The park is there for the residents of Tatagwa View, but also for the entire community."

Richards continued trying to make an appeal to all types of people. "For young people who don't get to see farm animals, for people seeking a place for reflection, and it's just plain fun."
