Your Summer Fun crew visited the community of Lang for their Heritage Day event.

Despite the wind and slight bit of rain later on in the afternoon, it was a fantastic day celebrating the town.

The morning kicked off with a breakfast in the hall.  It was followed by the opening of the kids activities.  The bouncy houses and pony rides were a huge success.

There were two silent auctions; one for the kids and one for the adults.

There was a slowpitch tournament throughout the afternoon that also looked like a ton of fun.

The Lang community center was were you could watch the parade video from last year's Lang Homecoming Canada 150 event.  This was also where the memory powerpoint was shown and where stories were shared about Lang and those who lived there over the years.

The day closed with a delicous barbeque beef supper in the hall, and then the highly anticipated axe throwing.  Safety lessons were given from Lumberjax Axe Throwing before contestants could try their hand at hitting the targets.
