It's Christmas time for the Salvation Army in Weyburn. Today, they begin setting up their Kettle's throughout the Opportunity City.

"The money that we raise in the kettles, that's our funding for all year long," said Community Ministries Co-ordinator Jennifer Lorinczy. "It helps run our programs throughout the year."

Christmas is already a busy time at the Salvation Army as they do Christmas hampers, Adopt-a-Family and generally see an increase in usage. So we think it's the PERFECT time for us to help out with BLOW AWAY HUNGER!!!

Yes, our annual Radiothon is BACK for another year! Wednesday, December 5th, we will be set up at the Prairie Sky Co-op Food Store from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. taking donations for the Salvation Army.

And, as always, there's more in it for you then simply spreading holiday cheer.

Stop in and make a food or cash donation and you will be entered in to win a brand new snowblower from Canadian Tire!!!!

A special thanks to Knight Dodge, CUPE 5999, Weyburn Carpet One, John Kmita Ltd. and Weyburn-Big Muddy MLA Dustin Duncan for helping us make sure everyone in Weyburn has the happiest of holidays!

See you Wednesday!
