Well it's Monday, but if you're a farmer that doesn't mean a whole lot, as harvest is underway and the schedule depends solely on the weather and crop conditions. KFC and Agriterra Equipment wanted to make sure the farmer's stomachs were filled, so for day 4 of Grain Rush 2017, we headed south of Khedive to deliver chicken and all the fixings to the Gerger farm.

When asked how harvest was going this year, Jack Greger said, "I guess not bad so far, it's well below average as far as the crops we're in to. But maybe a little more than expected, as we weren't expecting too much with all the dry weather all summer."

The Gerger family and their crew have finished the lentils and are now currently working on getting the durum off the ground and into storage.

What a great crew for lunch! The Gerger family and crew, Agriterra sponsors and a couple of our own from Discover Weyburn!
