Film student Morgan Jones is entering her final year studying film at the University of Regina. She showcased two films titled "Home Sewn" and "Bright Idea". The short films were five and eight minutes long respectively.

"Home Sewn" was Jones first film from last year featuring her mother, and how she comedically embroiders about her love-hate relationship about their previous home. It is the winner of various awards from Regina, Fort Lauderdale, and Winnipeg. "Bright Idea" was nominated for an award in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Set in 1950s Saskatchewan, 12 year old Wayne moves to a new house with his uncle and great aunt. Money is tight, but things change when Wayne enters a cereal contest to win $100. The story is based on a true story.

Not only was tonight a debut for Jones' films, but it was also a debut for all the new technologies that have been installed at the Tommy Douglas center.   The new improvements include curtains, an automatic screen and projector, an updated soundboard, black out blinds, and a new sound system. President of the Tommy Douglas board Connie Nightingale also states, "This is only the beginning."
