The Weyburn Credit Union held a community barbecue on June 29.

The Summer Events Crew took the cruiser out to play some tunes and see how everybody was doing. I spoke to a Weyburn resident named Shannon at the event and she said she brought her kids out to enjoy the event.

"[I] brought the boys down to enjoy some good food and a little bit of fun," Shannon said.

There was plenty of kids out to enjoy the activities they had laid out on the street in front of Credit Union. These included a putting game, a ring toss, a water bottle knock over game, as well as a bean bag toss and sand box. Many of these games were run by members of the Family Place, as the net proceeds from the event went to the Family Place.

This made for an awesome community enviornment as everybody sat down to enjoy their food and the beautiful weather. Even Fat Cat came out to take part in the fun as well as hand out balloons to all the kids.

See you at the next Summer Event!
