Laura Resler said the nomination was unexpected but is a great source of recognition for her staff.

"(We) just feel very appreciate of all the support that's been given to us, our staff are extremely excited," said Resler, Weyburn Pharmasave managing partner, with Krista Missal.

It was announced Wednesday that the Weyburn Pharmasave was nominated for the Service Award at the upcoming Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce's 2016 Awards in Business Excellence (ABEX), to be held in Saskatoon on Oct. 22.

Resler said the staff work hard to make sure everyone's experience in the store is top-notch, which is what the Service Award looks for from its nominees.

"Each and every day it's a commitment that when customers come into the store, they're greeted appropriately, asked for any help and provided them as needed, take them around the store to help with any shopping needs, we assist at the pharmacy for all pharmaceutical needs and questions, our staff continually train using online courses and we go around the store on a regular basis to do secret shoppers, we also continually train within the store to provide excellent customer service," she said, about why she believes the store was nominated.

The Weyburn Pharmasave were big winners at this year's WEYBEX Awards in May, accepting the Golden Service Award and Business of the Year award.
