More accolades have come in for a Weyburn High School class from the last school year.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted his congratulations to the Junior Achievement class for winning the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award.

OVERTIME, was the Junior Achievment company formed by 16 students and their teacher, Margot Arnold.

The students made and sold lanyards and bracelets from hockey skate laces.

They brought in $800 for KidSport.

Arnold said it was easy getting the students involved. "They brainstorm together, and come up with the idea," Arnold told Discover Weyburn prior to the shoutout from the Prime Minister. "And they do some market research to see if it's a viable option, and then they work hard writing up a business plan."

Arnold said they then had to present the plan to a Board meeting, She said the harder they work, the more successful they become.

This was the second year in a row that Weyburn Comprehensive High School's Junior Achievement company won the national award. "Last year, Palletable Projects took barnwood and pallets. They made signs, and firepit chairs, and barnwood hook shelves, so that was a very succesful venture as well."

Arnold said she's overwhelmed by the success of the group.

And she points out that only 3 Saskatchewan groups have won the national award in 40 years..the last two from Weyburn.
