“It’s been just an absolute honour, to work with the professional people that are in this community, the ones that I've worked with throughout this province, that are dedicating their time to public safety.”

Weyburn Police Chief Marlo Pritchard addressing those who came out for a farewell event to honour him, as he steps down as the Chief of Police in Weyburn to become the President of the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency.

Pritchard has spent 38 years working in policing, seven of those serving as the Police Chief here in Weyburn.

“It has been a great ride,” Pritchard added.

“If you were to see him in his dress uniform, he lists quite a bit to the left side, from the weight of all his medals and honours,” joked Deputy Police Chief Rod Stafford during the presentations. “He leaves incredibly large shoes to fill.”
