A silver medal for Rylan Erb and Team Saskatchewan at the 15U National Baseball Championships in Oshawa, Ontario on the weekend.

Saskatchewan cruised through the round robin undefeated and heading into the semi-finals against British Columbia Sunday morning. In the semi-final matchup, Saskatchewan came out in dominant fashion, winning the game 10-0 in five innings. The win set up a match-up with Ontario for the national title.

In the gold medal game, Saskatchewan took the lead in the first inning, and the pitching of Brodie Guenther took over. He struck out 11 over 6 ⅔ innings. Ontario would tie things up, though, with a single run in the sixth inning.

Neither team was able to score in the seventh, forcing extra innings. There, Saskatchewan took the lead with a single run, but two runs in the bottom half of the inning gave Ontario the win.

Erb finished the tournament with a .333 batting average, chipping in a double and an RBI.
