Three rural communities will have the opportunity to gain some free energy efficient products this fall through the Sask Energy Home Legacy Program..|
The initiative is taking in applications from communities until June 9th, and will then select three to take part in the two-part program...
Sask Energy spokesperson Shannon Doka tells us the two-part initiative will first see Sask Energy volunteers come in with energy efficient products for homeowners, such as low-flow showerheads, weather stripping on doors and windows and even programmable thermostats.
The second part of the program will see each of the three communities chosen receive a $5,000 grant to be put towards and energy efficient project within the community.
Additional information can be found on the Sask Energy homepage.
The deadline to apply for the initiative is June 9th.
