Stay tuned and proceed with caution. That's the advice producers were given at the CWB Farm Market Outlook in Moose Jaw this week. As Mark Bratrud of Bratrud Ag Advisory Services explains dry areas in western Canada are going to be a factor and if his production estimates come to fruition, Bratrud said to expect $8 to $9 for new crop. Meanwhile, Bratrud said a big pulse crop in India and Aussie competition is putting pressure on Canadian pulse crops. Bratrud said mustard acres may actually increase this year and we should watch for a slight increase in canaryseed. |
