Spike, Rex, Lassie... they've all been done before... you're going to have to get creative to win the Royal Canadian Mounted Police's "Name the Puppy Contest".

Ten entries are selected from the thousands sent in every year from across Canada for the contest and will be used to name new police dogs coming out of the Police Dog Service Training Centre in Alberta. Inspector and Officer in charge of the Centre Lawrence Aimoe says kids, 16-years-old and younger, are encouraged to send in a name starting with the letter "C" and no longer than nine words and two syllables.
