The deadline for nominations for the 10th Annual SaskPower Quota International Women of the Year Awards is coming up. Chair of the Awards, Kathy Coroluick says nominations are filtering in. She says, "we had a few come in and we know we have a few more on the way, but certainly we're happy to have as many as possible. The whole purpose of the Women of the Year Awards is to recognize women who are making significant contributions in the community. And we would like to recognize as many as many women as possible. Nominations close on the 15th of March." The Awards will be handed out on April 14th at McKenna Hall. The four awards are: SaskPower Workplace Excellence Award, the Quota International Community Service Award, Access Communications Exceptional Entrepreneur Award and Investors Group Young Woman of Distinction Award. This year's guest speaker is former Weyburn Mayor Isabelle Butters. The nomination tea, which is closed to the public is on March 28th. |
