The countdown is on to Canadian Western Agribition.

Yesterday they took the country to the city holding their annual pre-launch event on Scarth Street in Regina.

Agribition CEO Chris Lane says this year's event includes a number of new additions including a chance for people to run with the bulls:

"We put them on the rodeo dirt on a track, 75 people altogether, then we throw the gates open to some rodeo bulls - there are 9 rodeo bulls that are released.

The idea is that the contestants do their best to outrun the bulls on the track and the people in the stands can vote for their favorite contestant," he said.

Agribition also announced a new entertainment partnership with Country Thunder Saskatchewan (formerly Craven Country Jamboree) that includes the addition of the Country Thunder Stage at Agribition.

Canadian Western Agribition runs November 21st to the 26th at Regina’s Evraz Place.
