CleanSeed Agricultural Technologies is receiving $1.8 million dollars in repayable funding from the Federal Government to support the commercialization, production and distribution of it’s new, high-precision seeder.

Graeme Lempriere, CleanSeed's President and CEO says the money will be used to upgrade the production line, and produce and field test six of their new CX-6 Smart Seeders on farms.

"CleanSeed has developed the world's first Smart Seeder, which is a high resolution seeding technology to replace the existing equipment in the market place. That gives the farmer the ability to unleash his agronomy because we can micro-manage up to six products on every single foot of the field," he said.

Lempriere also noted, that’s a significant difference from the current air seeders on the market today.

The CX-6 Smart Seeder was launched earlier this year at the Ag In Motion Show in Saskatoon.
